Introduction

Inspired by the art of paper folding, Kami Swivel Chair is a lightweight, ergonomic swivel chair for any office interior. A flexible chair that rotates 360° to support dynamic workstyles. Made from post-consumer plastic and assembled without glue, every component comes apart for repair, recycling, or replacement. Designed to be renewed, not discarded.

Its ergonomic shell follows the natural curve of the spine, and a smooth 360° swivel keeps conversations and collaborations flowing. Lightweight enough to reposition in seconds, grounded enough to feel solid all day long.

Material

Made from post-consumer plastic

Kami Chair's shell is made from post-consumer plastic. Through injection moulding, that reclaimed material becomes a durable, smooth-surfaced seat with a second life built in. No glue holds it together. Every connection is mechanical, which means each part can be separated, repaired, or recycled individually. Add the option of replaceable upholstery, and the chair stays current long after its first project ends.

Designer

KASCHKASCH

Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider form KASCHKASCH, a Cologne-based design studio founded in 2011. Their work balances function with a restrained visual language, stripping products back to their essential elements. For De Vorm, they translated the precision of paper folding into a chair that moves with people and lasts beyond trends. The result is Kami Chair: minimal in form, maximal in use.
