In the heart of Düsseldorf’s Museum for Pop Culture, PONG brings together gastronomy, design and cultural expression. Set within a strict 1920s building, the interior bridges heritage with contemporary attitudes, introducing modern furniture and warm textures into a historically formal space.
To create a welcoming and functional environment, the interior incorporates De Vorm’s LJ 1 PET Felt Armchairs and Nook PET Felt Lounge Chairs. Made from recycled plastic bottles, their PET Felt shells offer durability, acoustic comfort and a soft tactile contrast to the building’s rigid architectural character. This modern material choice adds warmth and flexibility to the space, supporting both everyday dining and longer stays.
At its core, PONG is a restaurant and café, but it easily transforms into a lively venue for concerts, readings and cultural events.
