Augustinum

Das Vierundsiebzig, the ground-floor restaurant at Augustinum retirement home in Munich, shows how customised furniture solutions can enhance dining experiences across generations. Designed by CBA Clemens Bachmann Architekten, the space connects indoor and outdoor environments through nature-inspired colours, featuring Hale and LJ chairs in custom greens and yellows that reflect the neighbouring park's tranquility.

Nature-inspired seating solutions

Custom colours in vibrant greens and yellows connect the Hale and LJ Chairs to the neighbouring park, bringing nature's palette indoors. Light grey and pink accents in the Hale Lounge Chair and Hale Bar Stool add contemporary contrast to these organic tones. This thoughtful colour customisation transforms what could feel institutional into a warm, welcoming restaurant environment.

Flexible dining configurations

Different seating heights create distinct zones for various dining moments throughout the day. Bar stools at high tables encourage quick coffee meetings, whilst lounge chairs provide comfortable spots for longer visits with family. The PET Felt material addresses acoustic challenges in the open restaurant space while ensuring easy maintenance for staff, proving that senior living environments can balance practical requirements with genuine hospitality.
